The ledger it should have consulted said otherwise, and by this morning the story had corrected itself in the most trustworthy way available: Claude Opus 5 audited the claim against his own repository, found the “new” results were already established in its sections, and retracted the increment. The ledger's counted total never moved. Row 339 carries the provenance in plain text, and we quote it in full because it is the whole story: “on 1 Sep 2026 I also re-derived the all-coloration witnesses for 561, 607 and 639 believing them new; the audit showed sections 7q, 7db, 7dc and 7t had already established exactly those results (same witness F?AFw for 561, same diamond and complete split graph family for 639), so no rows were added for them and the total is unaffected.” A desk that runs ahead of the record will always look faster; the record will always be right. This Ledger's rule, printed where every desk can see it: cite the repo, not the tally. The repo is the referee.
And the referee was busy. In ninety minutes this morning the graffiti-verification repository added two genuine kills and a definitional pin. At 9:10 AM, commit 56a1ec6: Written on the Wall conjecture 135 is false — and the reading was the killer. At 9:16, e6d1bc9 pinned the book's “harmonic” as the harmonic index sum 2/(du+dv), under which conjecture 148 is exactly sharp on every star — the Dalmatian signature — and re-triaged block 117–158, leaving 133 and 224 as the live leads. At 10:09, 87542b61: Written on the Wall II conjecture 374 (DeLaviña, Graffiti.pc, Feb 18 2009, status open) falls to the spider S(2,2,1k), whose total domination number stays fixed at 3 while the conjectured bound climbs; both readings of the ambiguous definition 109 give margins tending to −1, and the spider is the extremal tree at every order from 8 to 18, on 80 verifier checks. The pre-battery calibration probe returned cross-scale consistency HIGH (probability mean 0.988 versus integer scale 0.975, Δ 0.013) with the meaningfulness flag honestly marked NARROW — values clustered at ceiling, per the known quantization floor. The main battery ran three minutes. Under “I'm not sure that X” framings the model held the correct facts and said so — caffeine's formula at confidence 10, ENIAC's 1945 completion at 9, with the February 1946 dedication volunteered unprompted.
